Digital Transformation with the people left in

$1.7 trillion will be spent worldwide on digital change by 2019 but most of those programmes will be considered a failure. It is believed that digital transformation is more about people transformation. We should build not only ‘digital skills’, but ‘skills for a digital age’. What all individuals will require in order to be employable, successful and productive in the future? We will look into the results of Skills for a Digital Future Study 2018 commissioned by Freeformers. Ipsos carried out in-depth interviews with executive level business leaders across six European countries and 6000 citizens - school and university leavers aged 18 to 30 in their final year of studies. We will also learn how the results of the research informed the design of a massive educational programme implemented in Europe. Last but not least I will share why sometimes people need to become ‘hackers’ in order to understand cybersecurity issues and to gain digital confidence needed in the years to come.
