On April 4^th, Dr. András Siegler gave a talk at the ISTP colloquium. As the Director of Energy Research and Innovation within the DG RTD of the European Commission,he shared interesting insights into the engagement of the European Union in a crucial field of future research and innovation.

Professor David N. Bresch from the Institute for Environmental Decisions at the Department of Environmental Systems Science of ETH Zürich visited the ISTP on March 28^th 2017 and spoke about how weather and climate risks can be communicated more effectively.

Yesterday, December 1^st, Professor Edward Parson from UCLA's School of Law and Professor David Keith from Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Law visited the ISTP and spoke about their research on the governance of climate engineering.

Professor Ashish Sharma of the University of New South Wales visited the ISTP November 29^th and spoke about how we can prepare for changing rainfall patterns in a warming climate.

Professor Helen Margetts, Director of the Oxford Internet Institute at the University of Oxford visited the ISTP November 1^st and spoke about her research on social media and collective action.

Prof. Michele Acuto of the Department of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Public Policy at University College London visited the ISTP October 25^th and spoke about city leadership and the challenge of city diplomacy.

Dr. Stéphanie Engels, Head of Corporate Development at Elektrizitätswerk der Stadt Zürich (ewz) visited the ISTP yesterday and spoke about opportunities in the challenging energy market.

Professor Hans de Bruijn and Gerdien de Vries of the Chair of Public Administration at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands visited the ISTP yesterday and presented their Research Program on Governance and Systems.

From April 15-17, ETH Zurich’s Institute of Science, Technology and Policy (ISTP) hosted 23 students in this year’s IDEA League “Challenge Program.”
