Open Position: Postdoc / Senior Researcher on Sustainability Issues in Global Supply Chains

The ISTP invites applications for a Post-doctoral / senior researcher position in an interdisciplinary project on sustainability issues in global supply chains. The project links several ongoing, but hitherto separate research activities on sustainable trade and supply chain policies from several ETH departments, with a focus on commodities in the food, minerals, and energy sector.

Job description

The position is for up to three years, starting in January 2021. The salary is according to ETH standards. The postdoc will pursue research on sustainability challenges in global supply chains, participate in the supervision of doctoral students, and help with project coordination and management.

Your profile

Applicants should hold a doctoral degree (PhD) in public policy, political science, economics, or geography. They are expected to have strong skills in quantitative methods, excellent writing skills, a strong command of English, and some prior advising experiences. Applicants should further have an interest or experience in theoretical and empirical research on questions of international environmental policy and trade.
