ISTP's IDEA League Summer School
From September 4-9, 2022, the ISTP hosted the IDEA League summer school on Greening and Governing Global Supply Chains. The focus of the summer school was on assessing the environmental and social effects of supply chains and actual and potential policies for addressing them.
The six-day event was a success, with 40 students of twelve different nationalities in attendance. Students learned about the sustainability of food commodities, precious metals, and battery materials. They were able to learn from ETH professors and invited lecturers, as well as develop a group project allowing them to tackle the policy challenges, such as ecological overshoot. The presentations on the final day were very well received, and the summer school was a great success overall.
