PhD Position - Environmental Policy
The International Political Economy Group of Prof. Dr. Thomas Bernauer is offering a fully funded position for a doctoral student in environmental policy.
The research project, in which the new doctoral student will be embedded, focuses on how international trade is changing the allocation of ecological impacts (environmental footprints) in the global economy and how various country characteristics and policy choices are affecting this process (including the so called pollution haven problem). The research to be undertaken by the new doctoral student will be based on the analysis of large amounts of quantitative trade and environmental data as well as survey embedded experiments in several developing countries. The main supervisor for the doctoral dissertation will be Prof. Dr. Thomas Bernauer.
The successful candidate should hold a Master degree in political science, political economy, economics, or environmental sciences and be very familiar with statistics as well as survey methods. The position will start in January 2019, the funding is for up to four years.
